Howdy everyone, I know a lot people are curious nearly how long it take to become hired by TSA. So here is my timeline so far for female TSO position:

*01/16/2015 Application received
*01/24/2015 CBT test
*01/24/2015 Contingent offer
*01/27/2015 Credit Bank check
*02/11/2015 Aiport Assesement
*02/11/2015 Filled due east-86 and of-306
*03/02/2015 Medical examination

Please notation that I had the chance to choose the medical examination date and I didn't take the starting time i available due to scheduling conflicts. Your timeline is moving very fast. Nigh officers will wait viii months to a year for everything. I know I did mine full in virtually 6 months and that was considered fast.

That's great news! Good luck! I've been with TSA for almost 12 years, and in an office setting for the last three years of that (Scheduling Assistant/Timekeeping and now I'1000 a Master Coordination Center Office). Call up, it's what yous get in and a great stepping stone to other government jobs! Apply, apply, apply...even for Collateral Duties and Details at your airport with TSA! Those are usually the first to movement up!

Your welcome, and best of luck.

I'm in my 2nd week and it's going well. Lots to learn, but they say one time yous start with OJT you throw that out.
                  Haha.

We heard today you now go the next pay grade after i year on. And one wont take to pay for parking after...I believe they said
                  after Sept or Oct.

Besides, how likely will they accept a TSA LE squad in the most hereafter? I read the union is pressing that that again since what happened recently.

Hi LittleStar, on the medical papers I said I could lift, just they made me take the extra test anyways and I had to pay for it out of my pocket. Information technology cost $75 in a place close to my house. Merely I have to point out that 70 pounds is more half of my trunk weight, and so I believe thats why they required me to be tested for weight lifting.

Hi HarrimanTech, I believe they require the lifting test based on facts from your medical exam. In my example seventy pounds is a little more one-half of my torso weight and then I understand that they had to be sure.
My medical took 7 weeks total to articulate including the lifting examination.

Crawly! Glad to hear you're in the set pool. Here's my process.

                                    11/14 - Applied
11/14 - Computer Based Test Completed
                                    xi/14 - Contingent Offer Completed
12/14 - Credit Bank check Completed
                                    two/xv - Airport Assessment Completed
                                    2/15 - E86 Completed
2/15 - Medical Exam - Currently on Medical Hold

CHS says the Nurse has passed my bundle on to the doctor, which I hope means that she didn't find anything wrong with it and the physician but has to sign it! Any thought if that would exist how it works? I would think if the nurse found something wrong with the packet she would telephone call me or send information technology back for more data. I'm on pins and needles waiting for word dorsum!

And then I had received my contingent offer May 1st also as the e86 forms done and completed. The forms are all the same awaiting and I am merely waiting for the Airport Cess. Quick question, what do they required yous to exercise in the Airport Cess? Thank y'all in accelerate for any information!
